James Flowers

Army-Navy Game

On the second Saturday

Of every December, since 1890

In Philadelphia,

At Lincoln Financial Field

A sea of Cadets

An ocean of Midshipmen

Two academies meet

To play a game

It is a game of pride

And tradition

Cadets chant “Hoorah”

While fans fill the stadium

Midshipmen sing

The C130

Midshipmen don’t like Cadets

Cadets don’t like Midshipmen

They shoot each other

Dirty looks

Every Midshipmen

It’s a battle

On and off the field

Helmet against helmet

Body against body

But at the end of the day

They are future soldiers
